Special Recognition Award
Last night the FA Wales recognised how amazing Alex Meek’s contribution was to grassroots football and awarded him the ‘Special Recognition Award’
Heolgerrig Red Lion CFC said: “As a club Alex always made us so proud, he coached several teams, he set up our girls only division and helped to guide lots of new coaches. This is a fitting award for his work and the children he coached are out playing this weekend Honouring his memory.”
Gemma Meek said: “Alex always loved football and everyone in football loves him. He made such an impact and will no doubt continue to influence the kids, coaches and club as a whole for years to come. Seeing his love and commitment for the beautiful game recognised last night was something I’ll never forget.”
